The easiest way to choose a colour service is by the distance between the hair you have and the hair you want. Happy with your colour but the regrowth shows? Root colour. Want a new overall tone? Premium or Royal colour. Want to go clearly lighter? Then the first question is whether you need bleach.
Root colour — regrowth up to 3cm
At Cheonho, root colour covers regrowth of up to 3cm. It leaves the previously coloured hair alone and blends the line, so it suits you if you want to keep your colour and look tidy again. If the regrowth is longer than 3cm, a full colour usually gives a more natural result.
Premium colour and Royal colour
There are two options for resetting the whole tone: Premium colour and Royal colour. The right one depends on your hair condition and the shade you want. We decide by looking at your hair, and explain it when you book or at the consultation.
When you need bleach
Hair dye can only lift your natural colour so far. If the shade you want is several levels lighter than your hair now, the base has to be lightened with bleach first. Bleaching is demanding on the hair, so the number of sessions and the method are decided after looking at its condition.
Colour from someone who teaches it
Salon Director Alexander at Cheonho trained in colour with L'Oréal, Wella and Kérastase, and now teaches cutting and colour at Seokyeong University's Department of Beauty Arts and at the L'Oréal Design Centre. Alexander consults in English, Japanese and Chinese, so visitors from abroad can talk through their colour with Alexander directly.
Associate Director Junghwa Hong looks after scalp clinic and design colour together. If a sensitive scalp has put you off colouring, starting from the scalp may suit you.
